Patriot Day
About Patriot Day
On December 18, 2001, President George W. Bush signed Public Law No: 107-89: an amendment to Title 36 of the U.S. Code designating September 11th as "Patriot Day". This day is "to pay respect to the victims of that day, show our nation's solidarity and show support for our men and women of the Armed Forces." 911 Promise
By Daniel Williams / Strang Communications
A remarkable response to the events of September 11. It has been almost a year, and we still don't have all the answers. But here is a God-honoring, flag-flying, awe-inspiring presentation by Dr. Daniel Williams that will help our nation look up and get the big picture. Various passages of scripture with an amazing correlation to 9/11, dynamic quotations from American patriots and passionate prayers are woven together with stirring narrative. Dr. Williams sets the stage with a poignant quote from Dr. Martin Luther King: "Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men." From there, he launches into a thought-provoking chapter entitled "A Promise of Protection" using Genesis 9:11 as the biblical reference. Regarding this work, Williams shares, "Every day across America, people in emergency situations of life call 911. However, it is important that we know whom to call. Let us never neglect to call upon God's Word for help." Every chapter offers hope and encouragement and challenges Americans to keep a strong faith for the days ahead.
